Dr. Stella Panayiota Pieri

Stella Pieri is an Architect trained at the University of Bath (BSc). She holds a M.Arch. from the University of Sheffield and a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (Thesis subject: Methodology for the Evaluation & Strategic Reduction of the Carbon Footprint of the Hotel Industry).

Stella is currently partner at the firm Pieris Architects ( www.pierisarchitects.com), founded in Greece and director of the company Iconic Estates Ltd., based in London. Her practice has won numerous awards in both international and national architectural competitions and is known for its’ new approaches to the design of buildings. Stella is also a Teaching & Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens, instructing “Architectural Graphics”, “Architectural Design”, & “Building Construction” with a focus on Sustainability and Building Carbon Footprint Reduction. Her work has been published extensively in more than 60 architectural publications and books. She is co-author of five papers published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and of nine papers included in international and national peer reviewed conference proceedings.
