Maria Saliari

Maria Saliari is a physicist, holding a Master of Environmental Physics from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She has worked as a research associate for NKUA (2007-2011) and for the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources-CRES (2011-2015). She is currently working as a freelance consultant (2007-today). The areas of her research include the environmental design of buildings, assessment of the energy and environmental performance of buildings and building systems, indoor and outdoor environmental quality measurements, development and evaluation of advanced materials for the built environment. She was a Lab Assistant for both NKUA and the Technological Education Institute of Piraeus and has performed supportive tutoring of students of the Physics Department, University of Athens. She is currently a tutor in Continuing Distance Education Training Programs at the Vocational Training Center of NKUA. She is the co-author of ten papers published in international scientific peer reviewed journals, of three papers included in international peer reviewed conference proceedings and of one chapter in a book about climate change and urban environment.
