Dr. Olatz Irulegi (female) graduated in Architecture at University of the Basque Country (2004). From 2000 to 2002 she studied at Universität Stuttgart (Germany). In 2007 she obtained a Master Degree in Architectural Design at University of Navarra granted by “La Caixa”. In 2009 she obtained a Master Degree in Sustainable Construction and Energy Efficiency at University of the Basque Country. In 2011 she obtained the European Phd Degree (Cum Laude) with the thesis titled: “Energy efficiency of Ventilated Active Façades applied to office buildings in Spain”. During her PhD she did an international research stay at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the Group Building Environmental Studies (2009). Since 2006 she is a lecturer in Architecture Degree and Master Degree at the University of the Basque Country. Her subjects are Building Technology and Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment. She has published several scientific articles and presented her work in international Conferences. She has international professional experience: From 2001 to 2002 in Architekturbüro Feldisieper (Germany); In 2002 at Pool Architekten (Switzerland), From 2004-2005 and from 2006-2001 in LKS Ingenieria (Spain); and from 2006-2007 at Tena & Zulategui Arquitectos (Spain).
